Traditional Birth Support

Traditional birth is birth as it has been for thousands of years: instinctual, sacred, and guided by the innate wisdom of the body. It honors pregnancy and birth as a rite of passage, rooted in ancestral ways, and centers the birthing woman’s intuition, autonomy, and deep inner knowing.

Rather than managing or controlling, traditional birth support is about witnessing, protecting, and nourishing the natural unfolding of the process. When a mother is safe, supported, and undisturbed, birth works as it was designed to.

Every birth journey is unique.  My role is not to dictate, but to walk beside you offering care, knowledge, and presence while we create together the kind of birth experience that feels most true for you.

This model does not rely on machines or protocols, but on connection, rhythm, rest, nourishment, and trust. It is a return to the old ways where birth is not something to fear, but something to be held sacred.

If this way of birth speaks to you, I invite you to reach out so we can explore what your journey might look like together.

I am not a midwife and I do not perform any of the restricted acts outlined in the Health Professions Restricted Activity Regulation 2023.

Disclaimer

I offer non clinical birth support — emotional, educational, and ceremonial tending for pregnancy, the birth process, and postpartum. I am not a medical professional, nor a licensed midwife. If you are seeking licensed midwifery care, please visit the Alberta Association of Midwives or the midwifery association in your province.

My role is to walk beside you, offering information, resources, and compassionate presence as you move through one of life’s most sacred thresholds.
